We Say It Well, LLC offers supports to individuals struggling with learning challenges. We provide a wide range of linguistic and literary services to individuals of all ages.
Our staff consists of award winning New York State Education licensed professionals in the areas of English Language Arts, Speech-Language Pathology, Teaching English to Students of Other Languages, Math Grades 7-12.
Because we offer a wide range of literacy services, our client-base encompasses school-age children, adolescents and adults.

Shelly October
Co-Founder
Literacy and Dyslexia Specialist
Shelly started her career as a public high school teacher for multi-lingual learners. She has experience supporting English learners in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in all content areas. In 2017, she received a Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology and continued to serve students PreK-12 in public schools. Seeking to learn more about how to support people with dyslexia, she enrolled in courses accredited by the Orton Gillingham academy. Her specialties include dyslexia, executive functioning, receptive and expressive language disorders for children and adults.
Marie F. Leblanc
Co-Founder
Literacy and Dyslexia Specialist
Marie has been working as an English teacher in New York City public high schools and a private tutor for more than 15 years. A life-long reader and learner, her favorite books include Frankenstein and The Bluest Eye. She has worked with multi-lingual students of all ages to dive into texts, write essays, and become more confident readers and speakers. Marie is a reading specialist who is also certified in TESOL. She received her initial Orton Gillingham certification in 2022.
Abigail Kirchman
Consultant
Abigail has been working as a math teacher for multi-lingual learners in New York City public high schools and as a private tutor for more than 10 years. She enjoys designing websites and thinking about problems together! Most recently, Abigail is learning about computer coding and the intersection between coding and language.
